I am proud to be a Indian and served the armed forces for 20 years. But regret that our politicians don't have the heart and will to appreciate the sacrifice that our soldiers do to keep our borders safe. It is only the Politicians, IAS, IPS and other bureaucrats who get respect and money. Even the Pay commission has shown this and now our soldiers have to fight not only with enemies but with our Politicians and Bureaucrats. Its not only hi tech arms and ammunition that will help our soldiers, but also some dignity and good salary / pension. Since long Govt of India is talking about one rank one pension. Till date so many govts came and went, but no govt has shown any interest in doing the good to our soldiers. Only when election is there some agenda is made to bring this scheme into reality. Once the govt is formed all is put in waste basket and forgotten. Very sorry.

YES.. i fully agree with your statement, was one like you, but not a soldier. India means a lot for every one of us. But after looking at the attitude of our people having religion in mind and not looking towards the hardship of the soldiers who sacrifice their lives for the country. What is the big use? I saw this when our Country was attacked by the Pak in Mumbai they (our great heroes) fought their lives to the core and won the battle for the country.. On the television I could notice that the people wishing good luck and what all. That was simply great I loved them.. but our soldiers were on their move only some could reciprocate but not all, this is because they understand the language and cry of their country men … BUT..??? you answered the rest. We should respect every profession weather he is a low labour or a hero. I hope our countrymen will agree with it. Lets fight for the country… but also fight for our Soldiers needs. It’s very important. Its very important our countrymen lets fulfil their dreams too.
